Technical Lead for Air Force IT Systems

Description
Technical/Integration Lead for sustainment effort for AF IT system. Responsible for coordinating technical issues, hardware/software needs, and status with management, other support organizations within the center (i.,e., Infrastructure and Database), the Government customer, and other Government agencies (i.e., DISA). Also responsible for ensuring life cycle processes are followed by the project team. Will work with system architect to define architectural vision.

Education
Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline or the equivalent experience.

Required Skills
Must have 10 years experience in DoD IT environment. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have experience with the software development life cycle (Requirements through Deployment). Must understand the need for and have experience with software development procedures (such as peer reviews and configuration management).

Desired Skills
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills and good interpersonal and presentation skills, good leadership and organizational skills, the ability to set technical direction for a project or application and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. DOD experience helpful but not required
Preferred Additional Technology Skills:

• Experience with WISMS
• Oracle 9i/10g
• CISRDs planning and solution development
• Software Review Board Expertise
• AJAX and/or Rich Internet experience
• Must have technical understanding of infrastructure (preferably Windows and/or UNIX), network, and database (preferably Oracle) concepts
• Must have experience with COTS integration efforts
• Must understand messaging and data warehousing concepts. Experience with GCSS-AF Integration Framework (IF), Data Services (AFDS), Enterprise Services Bus (ESB), and XML a plus

Clearance Required
Must be a U.S. citizen. Ability to pass National Agency Check (NAC) background check.
