Dayton, Ohio October 24, 2005—The Ohio Department of Development announced today that Peerless Technologies Corp. will receive a 2005 Emerging Technology Award. Ohio Governor Bob Taft will present the award to Peerless during a ceremony to be held at the Ohio Historical Society in Columbus, Ohio on November 21, 2005.

The Emerging Technology Awards recognize companies that are making valuable progress in the advancement of current technologies or are on the cutting edge in pursuing new and emerging technologies. In evaluating the nominees, companies are judged on significant technology breakthrough or development, potential for growth and commercialization of products, expansion of operations or increase in number of employees, and demonstrated commitment to research and development.

Peerless received this award as a result of the work it has done on the Service-based ISR Product Automation and Dissemination Enterprise (SPADE) project to compliment and extend the capability of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Information Operation Tools Access (IOTA) software suite and to generate a larger customer base for the technology. As a result of these efforts, warfighters will be provided with a coherent way to access and disseminate current information, regardless of where that information resides. The technology developed for SPADE is a unique solution combining Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance products, a workflow and notification capability across the enterprise, and the world-wide web. Using SPADE, users of time critical ISR products will now be able to access the information anywhere they have web access, and products will be “pushed out” rather than “upon request”. With better information more readily available, warfighters are better served.
