FAIRBORN, OHIO August 11, 2008 - Peerless Technologies
Corporation announced today that it has been awarded a
Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase 2
contract by the US Department of Homeland Security.
The
DHS is facing a challenge to protect the American public
from Chemical and Biological (CB) threats and the need
for detecting CB threats is growing as a result of the
evolving Global War on Terror (GWOT) within the
homeland. The potential use of CB agents against the
American public and assets is one of the most disturbing
threats against the US today. Under the two-year
contract, valued at $749,610, Peerless will deliver a
system for Chem Bio Sensor Wizards for Engineering
Environmental Protection (CB SWEEP) to the DHS Science &
Technology Directorate.
Peerless Technologies Corporation, headquartered in
