Peerless Technologies Corporation
Moves Into New Technology Incubator

Dayton, Ohio – With the cut of a ribbon on October 3, 2000, Ohio Governor Bob Taft officially opened the new Dayton/Miami Valley Entrepreneurs Center. The D/MVEC facility is located in downtown Dayton, two blocks East of Fifth Third Field, and is the new home of Peerless Technologies Corporation.

Along with Gov. Taft and Mr. Clay Mathile, founder of the IAMS corporation, Peerless Technologies President Michael Bridges spoke at the ceremony on behalf of the business partner tenants. Bridges’ remarked “as a business owner, and speaking for other new business owners, we’re looking forward to taking our ideas, our dreams and building them into businesses that will keep Dayton on the map. We could have taken our business to any city in the country or even the world, but we chose to be right here in Dayton, Ohio. This Incubator provides us with an excellent telecommunication infrastructure, a great facility, and a spirit of cooperation and synergy of companies working together to support each other, like Olympic athletes training together to run the same race.”

The mission of the Incubator is to "graduate" successful tenants who will continue to contribute to the economic health of the region through the creation of jobs. In 1998 the D/MVEC was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Funds have been raised to construct a 35,000 square foot building in the new RiverScape area on Monument Avenue between Taylor and Meigs streets.
