Ohio Governor Taft Visits Peerless Technologies

February 6, 2002 – Ohio Governor Bob Taft stopped by Peerless today to launch the Information Technology leg of his “Third Frontier Project”. Just one day earlier in his State of the State address, Gov. Taft proposed $1.6 billion to focus on the creation and growth of high-tech jobs in the state. The visit to Peerless was his first stop while visiting The Entrepreneur’s Center (TEC) (www.techincubator.org) here in Dayton. During his visit, the Governor discussed with Michael Bridges, President of Peerless, the high-tech business sector in general with a focus on developing Information Technology solutions and services that will set Ohio apart as world-class. The Peerless Team demonstrated a web development capability that allowed the Governor to publish to the world-wide-web, in near-real time, imagery (and content) information as represented by a digital photo of him entering TEC just moments earlier.

Following the demonstration, Michael Bridges joined the Governor and other local industry leaders in a round-table discussion on the needs of high-tech firms in Ohio and the state’s present and future initiatives that will promote growth in the industry.

Peerless Technologies is based in Dayton, Ohio and provides information technology services to commercial and government clients.
