Peerless Technologies Builds with Habitat

June 21, 2003 – On a beautiful Saturday in the Five Oaks neighborhood of Dayton, a number of Peerless employees and friends volunteered to help out on a local Habitat for Humanity project house. Habitat for Humanity is a Christian-based organization where “Partner Families" work alongside volunteers, like Peerless, to build their house. They put in 300 to 500 hours of "sweat" equity before earning their home, which is then sold to them for the cost of materials and any contracted work on a 20-year interest-free mortgage. Habitat for Humanity International has over 2,100 affiliates worldwide and has built over 114,000 homes. Dayton Habitat was established in 1983 and has built over 80 houses. Additional information is available at: http://www.habitat.org. The Peerless team had a great time, with only two band-aids needed and no other injuries reported.
