ORACLE Applications DBA

Job Description:
The Oracle 11i Applications DBA will be responsible for maintenance and updates to multiple Oracle 11i environments. This person will work closely with the Sustainment team and the Budget Formulation team to implement necessary Oracle changes.  This individual will work closely with Oracle DBA to implement Oracle best practices. This individual will work closely with GCSS during deployment of the application.

The Oracle 11i Applications DBA will perform the following duties:

·         Maintain existing 11i environments, including managing database operations, installing patches, and troubleshooting problems

·         Limited after hours support (including weekends) during critical project phases

·         Install new 11i environments to support development and testing operations

·         Document installation and operations procedures for the production staff

·         Responsible for performing SRR Scans/STIG fixes to Oracle 11i environments

Occasional travel required to multiple production sites during application deployment activities. These activities will involve working with the production support staff to fix issues, document revisions to the installation instructions, and communicate with the development team to resolve problems.

Location:
Dayton, Ohio

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics or equivalent.

Required Skills:
Minimum 4 Years Oracle 11i DBA Experience including installing, patching and maintaining the application, Basic Unix Skills (shell scripting, etc)

Desired Skills:
Expererience with the following technologies:  NetApp Administration, Unix Administration, Windows Server Administration, Java/JSP Development, EPB/Olap, Mercury LoadRunner, Oracle RAC, STIG/SRR Scan, Global Combat Support System (GCSS)

Clearance Required:
Active Interim Secret or Secret Security Clearance required.
